College of Marin's Environmental Action Club and 350Marin are presenting a community conversation "Inspiration From Standing Rock: Getting Active in a New Political Era" on Friday, January 27, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Academic Center, room 255. The evening includes a presentation by a local Native American who spent time at Standing Rock, conversation in small groups, discussion of environmental strategies and actions. Barbara Clifton-Zarate, Marin Community Foundation's Director for Economic Opportunity, is the featured speaker. Students attend for free; $10 donation is appreciated from non-students.
