Report possible hate crimes and hate speech to the Marin County Hate Crime Hotline: (415) 473-2585
To ensure that potential hate crime incidents are properly and promptly investigated, Marin County District Attorney Ed Berberian has instituted and activated a Hate Crime Hotline. Anyone who has been the victim of, or witnessed, what is believed to be a hate crime or hate speech is urged to report the crime to local law enforcement. If the event or incident is an emergency, then an immediate 9-1-1 call should be made. The hotline is designed to be used as a follow-up to an emergency 911 call, not to be substituted for reporting an active emergency event.
The caller will be asked to leave a brief message on the hotline's voicemail. Hotline messages will be checked daily by the district attorney’s staff, and a return call made within one business day.
