Oakland Warehouse Fire

December 5th, 2016 - 3:56pm

Our condolences go out to our neighbors across the Bay in Oakland as they mourn the loss of those who died in this weekend’s tragic warehouse fire. Because details are still emerging, the full toll of the disaster is unknown. Our thoughts are also with those who are dealing with agonizing uncertainty as they wait to hear about all who remain unaccounted for at this time.

Connections within the Bay Area arts community are deep and wide. With this understanding, we stand together in support of all those—including students, faculty, and staff within our own College community—who may be impacted by the injury and loss of life resulting from this devastating fire.

During difficult times it is important to remember that support services for all students and employees are available both on and off campus.

Students, faculty, and staff may contact the Counseling Center at (415) 485-9432.

Faculty and staff are reminded of the Employee Assistance Program (EAP), which provides free counseling visits with licensed professionals, among other services. EAP information is available 24 hours a day, every day at (800) 999-7222.
