It is with a heavy heart that I inform you of the passing of Steve Dodson, our friend and colleague who only recently retired. Steve was employed at the College from April 2001 until his retirement in January 2016. He was one of our hard working technicians in Media Services/Information Technology. Steve was also actively involved with CSEA serving as chapter president for several years where he was very passionate about the rights and quality of work life for classified professionals.
Steve attended the annual Retiree Luncheon on September 30. It was great to see him as he seemed to be enjoying his well-deserved retirement. At this point I do not know if there are plans for services or a celebration of life. I will let you know as I learn more. We will certainly take time to honor Steve’s memory at tomorrow’s professional development day for classified staff.
