Each year, the Educational Planning Committee (EPC) tracks progress on our strategic plan. At the end of the year, the Planning, Research, and Institutional Effectiveness Office (PRIE) produces a summary progress report that is shared with the Board of Trustees, the Planning and Resource Allocation Committee (PRAC), and posted online for all to view. The 2015-16 report shows the College is making good progress. Nearly all of the activities have been implemented.
Also, though this was the first year of the planning cycle, some objectives were already achieved. For example, the College exceeded its target for enrolling high school students, thus giving them a head start. More new students attended activities designed to help them transition to college, and more faculty helped with those activities as well. The institution is getting much stronger at using data and research for planning and decision making. A long-term budget strategy has been put in place to assure COM’s financial stability. Relationships with the community and economic development partners are deepening, and philanthropic support is growing.
