It is with sadness I inform you that one of the young men who died in a car accident early Tuesday morning, west of Samuel P. Taylor State Park, was one of our students. Lancelot Mattaeus Argall, an 18-year-old resident of San Anselmo, was in his first semester at College of Marin. He was riding in a car with his brother, Chancellor Grier Argall, and the driver, Chance Pierre Muerer. At approximately 12:09 a.m. on Tuesday, October 18, 2016, a passerby called 911 regarding an unwitnessed automobile collision. Paramedics responded to the scene and immediately determined all three men were deceased.
Dean of Student Success Derek Levy is working to notify Lancelot’s instructors. In response to a tragic accident such as this, individuals will have varied reactions. This is a profound loss to these young men’s family, friends, and community. Our thoughts are with them during this difficult time.
I want to remind all students and employees that support services are available both on and off campus.
